Great boots but top doesn't stay up well Mar 06, 2010 I love these boots with only one exception. When you turn up the top - it doesn't stay up well. You can wear skinny jeans inside, but bootcut jeans have to go over the top and look strange unless you turn up the top of the boots. The boots are extremely warm and cozy. They would have received a 5 star if the boots had a button loop or something to hold them together at the top when turned up.

Great boots Jan 17, 2010 I live in the very cold Midwest, where good boots are critical in the winter. Last winter I got a pair of minetonka's of a similar style, but they had no arch support and cold radiated through the soles on very cold days. I'd tried on several styles of Emu's this winter, and this style is the only one that comes with great arch support. The quality of the sheepskin is extremely good, and they stay warm and dry even when walking in snow in single digit cold with no socks. My only problem with these is the fold down cuff. I had the impression that the cuffs would stand up or fold down, however, they don't stand up well over pants because they are slit on the side, though they work just fine tucked inside my pant legs. Folded down, they just seem awkward to me with longer length pants on. That is my only complaint. They've been my go-to boots in extreme cold and fresh snow.
LET IT SNOW Jan 08, 2010 Snow...no problem
Warm...toasty cozy
Support...my arches never had this good
Cute...goes without saying.
Love them.

Seem to be nice boots Dec 20, 2009 "Emu Australia is an authentic Australian footwear company" but they are not manufacturing their footwear in Australia so I am returning these boots. I was looking for AUSTRALIAN sheepskin boots and these are MADE IN CHINA! It says so right on the box even if it doesn't say so anywhere on the product information page.
You can take my review for whatever you think it's worth but at this time in my life I am looking to trust the manufacturer of any product I buy and the quality control requirements do just not stick with products out of China. I also want to support local community and the little man - not big business out to make big bucks by outsourcing to cheap manufacturers who might, or to give them credit, might not, use slave labor, child labor or pay wages way below what is acceptable in any other country.
While these boots appear well made, only time will tell how they last. Someone else will have to give you that information
I would happily pay more for a product made of Australian raw material and made in Australia keeping the money in the community it belongs to.

Right boot is too small Dec 19, 2008 My husband bought me a pair of Emu boots for Christmas last year (style: Bronte) and I loved them. However, the wool started wearing away from the heels, and they are no longer comfortable to wear without socks. Let me also say that he bought me a size 7, which I normally wear, and they were huge. I returned them and bought a 6, and they were fine. They have actually stretched so much that they are actually too big for me right now. Definitely order a size down. I decided to try a "better" pair of Emu boots, and ordered these, the "Barossa" style. I believe they are the same quality as the "stinger" style. They arrived, and I loved them! Too cute! I had ordered a size 6 again, but to my dismay, the right boot is too small. The left boot is fine. I almost think that it may be a defect in the boot? I read reviews on another website for a different Emu boot, and a woman had the same problem and exchanged them, and the new pair was fine. So I will most likely exchange them for the same size again, because I actually think these are the perfect boot for me. Hope this helps!
