Nothing can really compare to these! Mar 20, 2010
My husband saw these at FootAction and wanted them DESPERATELY, but since they were $150 and since I am the Keeper of the Mastercard, he left shoeless and bereft.
When we got home, I googled them to see if there were any deals online, and surprise surprise, found 'em on Amazon. These came direct from Road Runner sports for under $90 (!!) with free shipping. I think I ordered them on a Monday, and by Thursday, my husband didn't have to wear plastic bags on his feet to leave the house anymore. Hurray!
He loves them and I think enjoys them even more because we got a crazy good deal for them. Once again, Amazon comes through :)
Great shoes for the casual runner Mar 17, 2010
I started in the New Balance world with 991's some years ago. When the 991's went away, I tried the successor, but they were not nearly as good. New Balance apparently got the word, because the 993's have me happy again. The shoes provide good support, wonderful cushioning, and wear like iron on the outside. Great shoes for a 60 year old 230 lb guy!
The Best Running Shoe Mar 16, 2010
I've worn all brands of running/walking shoes (Nike, ASICS, Puma, Reebok, adidas, etc.) and this particular New Balance, by far, is the best. I have three pairs (black, gray, and blue) and love them all. The comfort and style are what make this shoe superb and a classic.

I have had problems with finding work out shoes that fit. I have wide feet and the normal show is too tight and results in aching feet and reduced work out time. With these shoes I have been able to work out longer and my feet feel great. The color selection could have provided more variety.

This shoe feels wonderful... very cushy inside and yet the shoe has great foot support. After finding this shoe after a long shoe search for the perfect "walking" shoe, I think I'll be ordering 993s for a long time to come. I especially like the roomy toe-box.
New Balance, please don't modify this design (like you did with the horrible 992). Leave this shoe alone. The design is perfect!
