 Great boots Dec 29, 2008
I am a Clark's boot collector, particularly this slip-on type. This boot in particular is good and is very comfortable for walking long distances.
When you first get the boot it may be tight in the heel and may not feel wide enough, however give them a few weeks to break in and they will wrap around your feet very well.

These, right out of the box, are by far the most comfortable boots or shoes I own! They do run a little large and, thanks to the other reviewers I bought size 10 1/2 instead of my normal 11. I just got back from a 2-mile walk in them and they were a dream. But, all feet are different. And what is a dream for me might be a nightmare for you. I have a very high arch and I have trouble with tightness across the top of the foot about 4 inches behind the toes. No problem with these. They are a perfect fit, look great, smell like new shoes should, and look to be very well made. They look expensive.
But, one fly in the pie: they are PARTIALLY leather lined--only the back half. The front half is tough fabric so it should be alright. Still, I would have preferred all buttery-soft leather like Havana Joes BUT these are even more comfortable than Havana Joes and lighter, despite that very nice, thick lug sole.
I don't think anyone will quarrel with the build of these, it is superb. It's just a question of the individual foot and they're all different.

My grandson loves his new boots, but I should of paid attention to the other reviews. These shoes do run big. He wears a 13 but he had to drop to a 12 with this brand. Good exchange service. We're happy

I was really excited to get these and try something different. The length fit fine, but was way too tight across and right behind the ball of my foot. I've got them on boot stretchers to try and widen them out. I'd seriously reconsider buying another pair.

These boots fit very well, and are of quite good quality. The stitching is strong, the look is good, and they are good leather that can be waterproofed. Also they are not too heavy to wear all day. I would compare them to any others on the market at twice the price! Maybe I will buy another pair just to save the heartache of having to search for some when these wear out.
