these are awesome shoes, if you are flat footed do not buy , they are great for anybody who has any type of arch as it snugs right up to the arch you have and has a super support, I work on concrete flooring ,12hr shifts and my feet never feel sore or tired at the end of the night and if you need alittle height it gives that to you as well, love them.I do weight over 200 lbs and I have 5 pairs of shape ups which I rotate I see no wear and tear on them yet.

I was diasppointed that your product does not come in wide width. I ordered the next size hoping it would accomodate my orthodic but it didn't. Maybe that is something your designer could look at, people w/orthodics are millions of people and you're missing out on this population. I really like how quickly the product got to me and the quality of the product. I would give your company a 10 on quality and a 2 for greater sizes in regard to widths.

I can't believe it. I have spent money on foot doctors, orthodics and other shoe inserts because of plantar fasciitis and still had pain. Just looking at the skechers shape ups gave me some hope. I purchased a pair 4 days ago and what a relief. I am pain free as long as I am wearing them. I walk playing golf and usually my feet hurt at the end of 18 holes but the pain disappears after I change into my skechers. I am think about wearing them to play golf. Highly recommend these skechers. Now if they could only add spikes to the soles.

These are great shoes. The bronze is so dressy that I feel fine commuting in these with my designer sunglasses. In fact, I feel not only fine, but GREAT since I now have cushiony shoes to absorb the impact of the train stops if I have to stand all the way into the city...
When I first got these I wasn't sure I would keep them, because as commonly noted, they do cause your foot to pronate inward. My left foot pronates outward anyway, so I figured opposite motion wouldn't be bad. So these are working out fine. It's annoying, but not a problem.
These shoes do everything they say they will. I have fibromyalgia and always have trouble with pain, breathing freely, and posture. These really do create great posture so I can breathe more freely.
They also are good walking shoes, in that the more you walk, the more you notice your great posture. I have been walking for exercise for years, and no other shoe has actually created this event for me.
They are heavy shoes a bit, true. But you get used to it. In fact you don't really notice because you are busy noticing all the cool leg & butt muscles that are working.
I also ordered the Sketcher boots for winter, and am considering ordering another pair of these in black.
I highly recommend them.

UPDATE - May 20, 2010
I've had these shoes for a few weeks now. Still commuting in them. They do tend to be heavy, as people have said. I also went for a long walk, over two miles & got sore from that (back & hamstrings).
So things to consider. But still they are great shoes.
I wear them with my dress-up clothes and feel very classy. I haven't seen anyone else in Boston wearing the brown color so they are def trendy. Still recommend them!

Wonderfully comfortable and stylish! Love the color (mocha) and I wear them to work as well as for fitness walking. These are my second pair of Shape Ups. I usually wear a size 7.5 but ordered an 8 and the fit is perfect. I have no lower back pain after working 10 hrs on my feet and they have excellent arch support.
