 Nice boot, but wimpy sole Feb 08, 2010
These boots are very similar to Ugg boots. They're comfortable and warm, but the soles are very flexible with little support. My daughter pronates, so her foot slides to the inside and the soles quickly start wearing down on the inside. They probably won't last beyond this winter.

When you read about buying a size down, DO IT!
I originally purchased an 8, despite the reviews saying to size down, and they seemed big. So I kept them for the time being and immediately ordered a 7 in the same boot. When the 7 came in, I wore them both in the house and kept the 7, as the 8 was just too big, so I sent it back. And I normally wear an 8-8.5 in all other boots/shoes. I have bigger calves though, so that is why I waited to get both pair just to be sure the 7 would fit comfortably over my calves, which they did just fine. I can wear them with or without socks, and my feet neither get too hot, nor are chilly whatsoever. Once I break them in, I can imagine I will wear them ALL of the time :)
I can't afford the Ugg brand boots, and these are just as good for a much cheaper price! Very comfortable, and look great with everything! I already have off brand chocolate and black "ugg" looking boots like this, so I just needed the chestnut to complete all the colors I wanted for winter.
Also, being that I had to return the one pair, it was MUCH easier than I anticipated. You just print out your return receipt, attach it to the original box and drop it off to a UPS facility and you're good to go! You can also track the return package as well.
All in all, another great Amazon experience! The only reason I give these boots four stars rather than five, was for the fact of the size of the boot and that I had to return one pair and lose shipping doing so (I hate online returning! Plus when I purchased the 7 instead, the price was higher at that time). BUT, they do make it clear in reviews AND on the boot description that they DO run big. So it really is something you are aware of that they run bigger than your true size of shoe.
Reviews are a wonderful thing! Always try to read some before any purchase. That's what they are for...much helpful information!

Bought these for my daughter who loves them. They are wool on the inside and have a great durable sole and the look of Uggs at a fraction of the cost.

In my opinion, these are the best quality of these style boots. My daughter loves to wear these. Over the years we have tried more and less expensive brands and these are the best. The bottom support is the best and also the materials and quality. These are also the only ones that did not make her feet smell after a few uses. She has worn the top brand $200 plus boot and it has ripped open at the sole in the 1st week. However, it is a MUST to protect the suede well or they will be stained and ruined. I recommend KIWI brand super protector it works wonders and your boots will stay looking brand new.
Quite big but warm enough Feb 06, 2010
My size is 8 1/2 and I ordered 8. It was slightly big but I dont mind since it would accomodate thick socks. I tried it on with these boots with THIN socks and still it provides me enough warmth to withstand winter. Overall, I love it.
