This is the first pair of FitFlops I have tried. I wanted a pair of comfortable sandal-type shoes to wear in Hawaii that I could do a lot of walking in,so I thought I'd try these. They are comfortable, but the only draw-back is that they don't come in 1/2 sizes. I wear an 8 1/2 and under the recommendation of another reviewer, I bought the size 8. They work, but they come very close to being too short at the heal. Also, the top band does not have any elastic so they don't "grab" your foot. That type of sandal usually slides off my foot while I'm walking. So far, these have not done that. The sole is very cushiony and flexible. They are a little pricey, but the Sketcher brand in the stores are about the same price.

I now own 4 pairs of fitflops and just love how they feel and function. I just from got from Amazon the royal blue for jeans and the color is beautiful. I work on my feel and can wear sandals on the job. When I stand for long periods, I rock back and forth from toes to heels and it's like having a little energizing break on my legs. Feels really good. When I wear fitflops, my feet feel fine at the end of the day and can even run errands. The sole of the sandals is supportive and cushioned enough to absorb the hardness of the ground and I feel no soreness due to standing on a hard ceramic floor. The canvas strap sandals I emblish with fabric braids and flatback crystals and get asked where did I get the unique fitflops. Here in Hawaii I'm seeing more & more people wearing them. The recognizable logo gets inquiries on do they really work. I say they work for me, I just wouldn't wear them or any sandal on a rainy day since the wettness causes bad traction when walking. Sorry to all had bad expriences in the rain. I get stained feet from shoes as well. Rainy days are for light color Skechers.

Fit Flops are a shoe paradox! They are supportive flip flops. Somehow they combine the ease and casualness of a flip flop which is, for all purposes, a rubber thong shower shoe with a sensible padded and supportive foot bed found primarily in "comfort shoes". If you can stand something between your big and second toes....then these are for you!
Fit Flops come with a lot of hype that promises an exercized leg and a fabulously improved derriere just by walking around for a month or so while wearing a pair. Dr. Scholls have also claimed aesthetic results for their "exercize sandles".
I have worn Fit Flops for several years now and sadly I can't say my butt looks any better. I wish I could!
What I can say is that Fit Flops are extremely comfortable and supportive and not bad looking either.
There are multiple models of Fit Flops. The Walkstar model, which was one of the first, combines a striped grosgrain fabric strap over the instep that is attached to the footbed by a leather center "thong" and leather side pieces. If you are worried about your foot slipping around on top of the foot bed, the grosgrain ribbon provides a minimum of stability. It would be best to try a later model, one that has a wide, triangular shaped "leather" strap over the top of the foot instead.
Many attractive color combinations are offered. The Bronze Walkstar has brown, beige and light and dark pink stripes. The leather is metallic bronze. The footbed is dark brown. Bronze is a good color choice because it is pretty much neutral. It goes with most things you'd wear with flip flops, like jeans, chinos, etc.
The footbed is 1 1/2" high at the heel and is contoured to the shape of the foot. This contouring cradles the foot and provides excellent support....for a flip flop....these do not take the place of normal shoes. These are not walking shoes. They are not work shoes. They are not protective shoes. They are not dressy shoes. They are casual, supportive flip flops.
In my experience, these are excellent shoes to wear around, go to the beach with, change into at the end of the day. I find them supportive, comfortable and comforting to aching feet. I've worn them for several years, mostly during the summer, and they've held up very well. I've worn them in the rain and they are none the worse for wear. I did not experience any dye rub off on my feet.
One caveat. They come in whole sizes only. I usually wear a size 7 1/2 but I wear size 7 Fit Flops. Some people size up, some size down. A friend of mine had a bad experience with her Fit Flops. The fabric band was wider on one shoe than on the other. Try before you buy!

This shoe is comfortable, and it even relieves my plantar fasciitis pain when I wear it. As a result, I bought a pair for my mother who suffers from foot pain also; she loves them.

I have several pairs of FitFlops. Since I started wearing these, my plantar fasciitis has gone away. I wear a pair in the house. It has great arch support. I recommend people who have foot problems to try them. I am waiting to purchase a navy blue and an all black Walkstar. Amazon, please carry these colors. Thank you.
